No. Because our appointments are specialty consultations, they are not intended to replace primary care. We advise that patients continue to remain under the care of their primary care physician.

Standard lab testing includes baseline lab testing that provides insight into blood cell types, patterns of infection, blood glucose levels, electrolyte status, cholesterol and blood lipids, carbon dioxide and oxygen levels, basic thyroid screening, liver and kidney function, and vitamin/mineral status. If you do not have any recent lab work (within the last 6 months), standard blood work may be appropriate to provide further insight into what is going on with your body.
Functional lab testing may be ordered when a more in-depth understanding is necessary. For example, functional lab tests may collect saliva, stool, urine, blood, or exhaled breath in order to better assess and get more information about the function of the gastrointestinal system, cortisol response, neurotransmitter status, hormone metabolites and pathways, food sensitivities, and/or the presence of antibodies. Depending on your unique health concerns, functional lab testing may be appropriate to get more detailed insight into what is going on with your body. These insights have the potential to inform your treatment plan, making it better individualized and more effective for you.

No. The cost of blood work will be provided prior to your blood work appointment and then paid separately. The cost for functional lab tests will require payment prior to you receiving the lab kit(s).

No. We do not bill insurance. You will need to pay a New Patient Deposit when scheduling your New Patient Initial Visit with the remaining balance due at the time of your appointment. Return visits are paid at the time of your appointment without a required deposit. We believe that we would not be able to provide our patients with the high quality patient care we provide if we accepted the health insurance model.

-
Possibly! Since naturopathic medicine is regulated at the level of each state, it depends upon which state you are in. Please contact us and we can let you know if we can work with you.
-
Yes. Although we highly value the connection established during in-person appointments, you are able to choose to schedule your Return Visits as ‘in-person’ or ‘Telehealth.’ Please be aware that we ask which state you currently are in at the start of each Telehealth appointment, as each state regulates naturopathic medicine differently.
We require that all Telehealth patients who are receiving naturopathic care to be seen in-office once a year for an in-person evaluation.
